The Orfeón Pamplonés ends the cycle "our city-our voice" with a mass to celebrate the 160th anniversary of its foundation in which all the choirs of the institution will perform.
The organist Raúl del Toro and the instrumental brass ensemble Ensemble Tubala Brass also participate.
The programme is made up of works by Basque authors from Navarre such as Emiliana de Zubeldia, Aurelio Sagaseta, Fermín Andueza and Francisco Madina and works by Gabriel Fauré and Johannes Brahms.
Three works from the repertoire should be highlighted:
1: the presence of a brass quintet with which the Orfeón will perform Brahms' Geistliches Lied for the first time in this format
2: the world premiere of the version for organ and brass quintet of O Rex Gloriae by Josu Elberdin (1976)
3: interpretation of the Agnus Dei from the "Mass of the Assumption" by Emiliana de Zubeldia (1888-1987)
